Biden administration lifts the ban on visas, including the DV lottery, until March 31

N24 Correspondent, WASHINGTON:- US President Joe Biden has until March 31 to lift an executive order banning various immigrant and worker visas, including the DV lottery.

Former President Donald Trump has suspended all types of immigrant visas and worker visas until March 31 to protect American workers in the economic downturn caused by the Corona epidemic.

Biden issued an executive order lifting the immigration ban, White House official Esther Olavarria told a virtual meeting with mayors.

But it is not clear when such an executive order will be issued. Esther Olavarria is a senior immigration adviser to President Biden and the deputy director of the White House Domestic Policy Council.

Esther Olavarria said, “A new policy to welcome immigrants will be a priority for the White House, in recognition of the centuries-long contribution of immigrants to the prosperity of the US economy.”

It is said that some of the orders on immigration to be issued on Friday will be delayed but important executive orders on immigration will be issued soon.
